About this deal

At the base of this timeless, sophisticated fragrance is seductive iris enwrapped the sensuality of sandalwood and the warmth of cedar and vetiver to create the iconic and long-lasting trail. The first spicy-floral fragrance in perfume history, this timeless Eau de Parfum has become an enduring olfactive icon. I'm not sure if this perfume totally works on my skin, which seems to pull the scent of freesia (not listed in notes) out of it.

Bergamot and rosewood support the development of the carnation theme, refined with the notes of rose and jasmine.

If you get the extrait it's a sweeter, less powdery, more liquified version of it in it's purest form that's the best.

I first fell in love with this perfume when I was a little girl - my mom had it, and it was magical compared to the Soviet perfumes made by Novaya Zarya.

I actually initially wanted it because it is what Clarice is wearing in the movie "Silence of the Lambs", also I was fond enough of the bottle and I didn't know a whole lot about fragrance when I decided to pick it up. I know that most people would consider "reminds me of grandmothers" as a negative, but this scent is SO comforting and evocative that I don't care if people think I smell like an old lady or if it's too mature for an early-twenties woman.

An extremely soapy-spicy carnation resting on a cumulus cloud of “white-floral” musk, but with jasmine noticeably missing from the bouquet — lily and gardenia shine, scrubbed clean of any suggestive humidity, carnality, or indoles. This perfume makes me think of the “Sing, Sweet Nightingale” scene from Disney’s Cinderella — with the dreamy, close-together harmonies and the iridescent soap bubbles; probably the L’air du Temps peace doves are causing me to make the nightingale connection, too. This tells a story for me all the vintage Ricci tells a story of a woman who walks around a garden under the sun and comes across all sorts of florals and plants. That said, sure this is a really soapy aldehyde perfume, but it not dirty, dark, skanky, or any of that. Illuminate your celebrations with this L'Air du Temps Eau de Toilette set, adorned with a lovely yellow ribbon.Symbolising love, elegance and freedom, Nina Ricci L'Air du Temps Eau de Parfum was developed in 1948 after the World War II, and remains one of the greatest fragrance creations today. In the long drydown, there's a vintage spicy flintiness present on the skin that leans near civet with reminders of scents like Tabu Dana (although these are very different overall). Don't get me wrong, this is quite dry and doesn't have that sugar/caramel accord that is so common in modern florals. Created in 1948, L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci is an ode to peace, love and freedom—values embodied by the two entwined doves perched atop the perfume’s iconic bottle. Years ago when I had hardly any money for perfume I bought a mini of this, wore it, and loved it to the last drop.
