About this deal

The HyperFire was released in a Costco exclusive value pack that included the blaster, two twenty-five dart drums, fifty Elite Darts, and instructions. Just be wary that you’ll empty the mag quicker than you expect, so you’ll probably want to budget for a spare mag or two – assuming you don’t already have any standard NERF clips in your arsenal.

However, the clever engineering folk over at NERF have also engineered a funky conveyor belt system. Clearly this is an awesome toy, everyone in the house has played with it and it leads to squeals and laughter whatever age you are. although I trust you'll be more careful than my children, and hopefully you don't have house rabbits who think Nerf darts are super-tasty. This is definitely better than I expected, and in part due to the 'trigger' nature of the acceleration button, rather than having an 'on/off' switch which kids especially never turn off with any level of urgency. Hasbro claims it can manage up to five shots per second on fresh batteries, and has a maximum range of 27m.

The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. One of the biggest disappointments my kids have faced over the years with toys, has been opening a box to find hardly anything inside. Once that’s done and the batteries are in place, all you need to do is slap the magazine into the slot in the underside of the gun and you’re ready for rapid fire.

Your blaster arrives in a box which is large enough for storage afterwards, there's a pull out drawer and it takes very little time to remove. Some of the technologies we use are necessary for critical functions like security and site integrity, account authentication, security and privacy preferences, internal site usage and maintenance data, and to make the site work correctly for browsing and transactions.Just press the button in front of the trigger while pulling the drum down, and it drops out with very little resistance, so it won’t be a problem even for younger kids.

When the trigger is pulled, the motorized conveyor belt spins and passes the darts to the flywheels, which fling them out. Today, we have millions of users a month from around the world, and assess more than 1,000 products a year. The blaster is suitable for ages 8 and up and has a high firing rate, making it perfect for outdoor activities.

The other thing you notice is how much quieter and smoother it is than the older full-auto blasters too. Unpacking the Hyperfire you will find, the blaster itself, a 25 round drum and 25 darts to feed into the drum.

Editorial independence means being able to give an unbiased verdict about a product or company, with the avoidance of conflicts of interest. I had heard about canted flwyheels, but didn't know what that meant until your pics; thanks for that. On the one hand, they last ages – I’ve had at least half a dozen lengthy NERF wars with my kids without needing to change them – but on the other hand, they’re not the type of batteries you just have lying around in a drawer. It's the fastest motorized Nerf dart blaster, unleashing 5 darts per second to rain down a deluge of darts onto targets! Released in late 2016, the NERF N-Strike Elite Hyperfire is a full-auto flywheel blaster, with some very cool, sci-fi styling. You are supplied with 25 Elite darts, but it will take any Nerf darts, and you'll probably need them.
