About this deal

Usable for so many things, and I've also seen many tricks on youtube for using this in ways it wasn't intended, although i guess some of them may be unsafe to do. As a manufacturing pioneer with more than a century’s worth of experience, the Bosch name has become synonymous with engineering excellence. Scheppach and Parkside has launched “competing” products) - I’d get the Bosch still, but wished they had parted with the wheel. I watched a review on Youtube where another happy owner said it was quieter than his vacuum cleaner.

Read drilling speeds and depths on its digital display or turn the knob underneath for stepless speed adjustments. We will make this refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. The laser cross is pretty accurate, and accurate enough for quickly locating where to put the wood or center punched metal and then make fine adjustments to make sure the bit goes in the right place.

The PBD 40 bench drill is especially accurate and very easy to use thanks to its technical features, with a 710 watt universal motor replacing the classical belt drive found in conventional bench drills. When you say "large" forstners, what diameter do you mean by that (a large forstner to me is 40mm+). For most jobs it seems to grip the bit just fine but when fitted with a 35mm forstner bit, and drilling into 18mm ply the bit had a tendency to slip in the Chuck which is less than ideal. Bench drill with 2-speed gearbox, delivers high power in first gear and high speed in second gear, combining easy and comfortable drilling with precise results. But, as good as they are in marketing they probably don’t know that, yet, or ever - someone else is going to nail this soon.

A 'normal' keyless chuck would suit me better, but this one works and I suspect I will get so used to it that it isn't an issue any more. My only "complaint" would be that the wheel is not as efficient as a 4 handled star, in that if you are drilling deep you have to reposition to continue.I do have to check that I have properly tightened the chuck and then use the lock ring but after a first few loose attempts I am OK with it. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). One disconcerting aspect of my drill is that, as you rack the head down, the locking position does not move with it until the head gets close, then, with a loud bang, it jumps down to a new position. With innovative speed adjustment without complicated belt changing and a digital display to measure speed and depth you’ll be drilling accurate holes in no time. It looks quite small in the pictures but i have a compound slide table with a tilting vice fitted and i can still fit a forstner bit and drill through 100mm pieces of wood. However, our two reviews combined (and linked by your post) give a nicely collaborative approach to a product review . The PBD 40 is also equipped with two gears and a Constant Electronic control system that prevents the speed from dropping when drilling in hard materials.

To meet the cancellation deadline you should send your notice to cancel before the 30 day ‘cooling off’ period has expired. There is a useful little table on the side of the drill, giving you recommended speeds for drilling aluminium and steel. the laser is a gimmick, the lines simply aren't fine enough and you should always bring the bit down to the workpiece to align and mark it. Note: This newer version doesn't have the clear guard over the chuck as I've seen in some photos and videos online.

one third of a millimeter) from pushing left to pushing right, measured at the end of an 8cm long bit. This took another week to arrive and once again the bosch seal had been broken but the drill and packaging looked ok so i accepted it. All in all, a thoroughly recommended bench drill, lightweight, great torque for drilling metal and wood with large bits. One thing I would point out is I have to tighten the pillar lock as hard as I can to prevent any wobble.
