About this deal

I chose this book as I wanted to feel the air rushing through me as the flight and its passengers faced a life and death situation. Every character was etched clearly, giving me their emotions and information about their personal lives. In just a short span of time, all three characters — and even the ones on the plane — become heroes.

Dit boek is best wel spannend om te lezen, uiteraard heerst hier ook romantiek maar de spanning primeert. I don’t think I’ll look at a pair of luxury stilettos again without thinking of Tom’s ‘Manfredo Bizarro’ reference. A lone postcard found by a TSA agent started the doubt about something catastrophic happening on one of the flights.Usually, any book surrounding a plane either focuses on the aftermath of a crash (if there is one) or just acts as one of the settings.

This story is perfect and sad and keeps you wanting to read, even when you should put the book down and go bed. When the security checkpoint worker’s first concerns are dismissed, she decides this message cannot be ignored and makes contact with Homeland Security. This had plenty of possibilities when it came to means and motives and kept me on the edge of my seat a couple of times. As the plane bears down on its destination of San Francisco, the futures of these strangers will be changed forever by a handful of accidental heroes . Accidental Heroes’ is a book set partially on an airplane, and partially in the office of Homeland Security.

The characters are more caricature than three-dimensional and the action scenes are just poorly thought out and show rather unforgivable levels of naivete. There were a few times I closed to book to make sure it was a Danielle Steel book as it was of a different level of writing.

Accidental Heroes proved to be a surprising and different read from Danielle Steel this time around. Accidental Heroes is a pulse pounding thriller that is very much set in the here and now of our current climate.I’m not sure how comfortable I felt about this blame game but by the close of the novel, I felt Steel handled this aspect of the book with respect and understanding. Read all When a bunch of gamer geeks find themselves in the middle of a real crime, fantasy becomes reality.
