About this deal

I just wanted more depth and better flow, a more comprehensive unfolding of this world with demons and duskwalkers and a veil.

Thanks to dual-POV because I got to know more about his background, it makes me want to hug him so badly! Because of this, I found it hard to get into, but the glowing reviews of some fellow book lovers convinced me to give it a chance. The story did start off a bit slow, but by chapter seven I was hooked and absolutely devoured the story. the ow was his first and it was drilled too much that he pleasured her and that they had sex, that he built her a home and that he gave her things that even the heroine stated he'd never given her.Orpheus is the sweetest monster of all time who just wants to be good and do Reia right, but also is tempted to eat her. I-I thought you were going to eat me,” she whispered, her hands falling limply next to her in the snow. Imagine writing the sentence ‘They came in many sizes, which informed their prey if the monster in front of them would guarantee their death or not.

This was gonna be a 3-star review up until the 80% mark, at which point I was genuinely angry at the way they decided to handle things, so down to 1-star we go. And the world building was done so well without feeling like I was smashed over the head with exposition. There's 4 more books and it's just like a Christmas miracle to me- this is the best gem ever I have stumbled upon to. But overall I was so impressed with the storytelling here, and these amazing characters this author has created.I can’t help but think… does it really need to be 450+ pages, or is there a lot of back and forth… unnecessary drama… etc. Orpheus we learn more about, but it seemed like a lot of it was revealed by others and I wanted to know him more from his perspective. And so, we have a villain who is portrayed as a snobbish, selfish woman (who, out of fear, didn’t say “no” to a horrifying monster she saw kill many people), coming across as sympathetic in a way I do not think the author intended. Reia is ostracized in the village after her whole family is eaten by demons, believing she is bad luck.

Reia then goes on to say that Katerina is "a spiteful fucking bitch" because she wants to hurt and kill Orpheus for what he did to her.Reia had found heaven in the Veil, and it was given to her by the cock of a Duskwalker that was fucking her into oblivion. I found her selfish, yes she earned it with the villagers but not Orpheus, he does everything he can to make her happy and she manipulates him because of it.

Why wouldn't a woman, after being taken from her home where he'd just slaughtered all of her neighbors, muster up the courage to say no? And since I love a Beauty and the Beast story it really isn’t surprising I loved this one (she even reads him a children’s folktale of Beauty and the Beast… meta). Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Reia and the Dustwalker named Orpheus are alone on page for most of the book - with the occasional appearance from demons trying to kill her, an ominous Owl Witch, and another Dustwalker who is not as smart as Orpheus. Reia seemed to care only for Orpheus after they had sex and Orpheus only seemed to care that she wanted him, not about Reia herself. But regardless of what I didn't like, I think you should read this if you’re interested in monster romance.
