About this deal

I can do no better than recommend Lies, a brilliantly plotted psychological thriller by TM Logan, whom I have no doubt is going to be a major exponent of this genre. And, as the last person to see him — and because their meeting wasn’t so friendly — he’s in the police’s crosshairs as the prime — and only — suspect. Would the police really be satisfied with the results of a cursory glance for a proof of life inquiry before launching so speedily into focusing on foul play? Those are the overriding questions that haunt Joe Lynch as he unwittingly becomes embroiled in the mysterious disappearance of Ben Delaney, a man with whom he is merely acquainted when his four-year-old son, William, spots Mel’s car on the highway.

We never actually realize the intrusive nature of that lovely convenience held constantly in the palm of our hand. And because he is in the tech industry, his knowledge of computers and other devices is far superior to Joe’s and allows him to embroil Joe is a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. BLOOD SISTERS will be published in September, but thanks to Vanessa and her publisher, we’re able to get an exclusive early glimpse into the book right here in today’s blog post! While I felt for Joe, I was also super-frustrated by his inability to see what was happening right before his eyes. i have given this book 4 out of 5 stars, however i did pay for this book as it was only 98p which would usually get itself inn the 5 star rating but as i don't think i will reread it i have given it 4 stars however, i would recommend this book for anyone looking for a good psychological thriller that keeps you guessing. Following her into a Premier Inn car park, Joe witnesses a heated exchange between Mel and former working class Northerner, turned self-made millionaire and alpha male, Ben Delaney, the husband of a close female friend of hers. It was intense and surreal and utterly amazing, even when I put the book down, even for a toilet break, I was thinking about it and that ending just absolutely blew my tiny mind. All he knows is that her actions have brought someone dangerous into their livessomeone obsessed with her and determined to tear Joes world apart.

Thinking he shouldn’t interrupt Joe retreats to the parking garage to catch her on the way out but when he misses her leaving he confronts Ben instead. The book gets off to a good start but the main character got on my nerves more and more as the book progressed which made me lose interest for awhile. I'd say I was pretty invested in the story until about the halfway mark and for quite awhile after that I just didn't really care as much what happened to Joe.Jo kept going on about how he wanted to make his Marriage work and stay with his wife after her affair yet he constantly checked her phone, didn't trust her which of course is understandable i just never understood why after she hurt him so much and got him into all the trouble she did why he stuck by her and why he wanted to make the marriage work.

Publication information is for the USA, and (unless stated otherwise) represents the first print edition. This is a fast paced thriller with lies, lies and more lies leading Joe down a terrifying path where nothing is what it seems and he is slowly being framed for something he didn't do.BookBrowse seeks out and recommends the best in contemporary fiction and nonfiction—books that not only engage and entertain but also deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. The more Joe tries to clear his name, the more the police believe he is responsible for another man’s life. All he knows is that her actions have brought someone dangerous into their lives―someone obsessed with her and determined to tear Joe’s world apart.

If you loved the movie Ready or Not or Jessica Knoll’s psychological thriller Luckiest Girl Alive, you’ll love Catherine Steadman’s THE FAMILY GAME.I devoured ALL THE DANGEROUS THINGS over my holiday break this year, and found this to be one of those rare books that genuinely is impossible to put down. Logan makes social media an indispensable piece of this thriller, and it’s one of the strongest selling points this story has to offer.
